Chance to work with a leading international software organisation in an automation role, focusing on the build process, test automation with a strong scripting emphasis and a desire to automate any repeatable process in order to code yourself out of this job and into other relevant and challenging roles.
Continuously enhancing the build infrastructure and testing tools through the use of; Perl / BASH / Shell / PHP / Python / JavaScript or equivalent.
This is a role working with a global reaching and award winning US software company which have a low public profile in Ireland but have major influence in the cloud computing arena and are recognised and technical leaders.
Role / opportunity:
- Automation of build and test
- Chance to join an experienced team of automation engineers
- Working heavily with scripting languages: Perl / BASH / Shell / PHP / KSH / Python / JavaScript
- Working with Ant and tools such as; Cruise Control, Make, Maven – you do not need prior experience with these
- Automation of all repeatable processes
- Working exclusively in Linux environments
- Improve the continuous build infrastructure / testing
- Develop automated solutions to increase efficiency and quality of product release process
Skills / experience:
- 6+ years commercial experience
- 3+ years experience of Build automation or Test Automation
- Strong scripting skills with Perl or BASH or Shell / KSH or PHP or Python or equivalent
- Strong Linux skills
- Appetite for variety and willingness to take on any challenge
Package:
- 50-65K base salary + excellent benefits package including bonus
